The B-cycle program enters it's third year
Beginning Friday you will be able to hop on a bike and ride around Aksarben Village and the UNO campus. Ben Turner is the program director for B-cycle and says there will be 35 blue bikes available at five stations.
The locations are 62nd and Dodge on the UNO campus, 67th and Pine, 67th and Frances, 66th and Center and in front of the Blue Cross Headquarters at Aksarben Village.
He says they plan to expand the program to other parts of the city in the future. Turner says the bikes are a convenient and economical way to take those trips that are too long to walk and too short to drive.
There are three access passes available. A 24 hour pass costs $6 and a 30 day pass is $30. If you want an annual pass the cost is $55.
A kick off event will be held at 4:30 Friday afternoon at Mojo's Smokehouse and Pub in Aksarben Village.
