The woman was hit by a suspected drunk driver at 72nd and Dodge early Saturday morning
Accident investigators say a 2013 Nissan Altima was north bound on 72nd Street around 3:00 a.m. and ran a red light. The car struck a west bound Chevy Malibu driven by 26 year old Ashley Mruz, who was 31 weeks pregnant.
She was rushed to the hospital and treated for a broken hip. An emergency delivery was done and Mruz's baby boy was born.
A passenger in Mruz's car suffered minor injuries. Police say the intoxicated driver, 21 year old Carlos Moore, and his passenger were also taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
