58 year old Michael Scott was aquitted Monday afternoon
Scott was arrested last November after his then girlfriend said he hit and tried to choke her after attending a movie.
Scott was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and spent five days in jail. He was also fired from his shoe sales job. Scott tells 1110 KFAB is is relieved the nightmare is over and will now focus on getting his life back together.
In addition to working as a t.v. anchor, Scott ran unsuccessfully for Congress in 1998.
