35 year old Joseph Brosnihan given 15-20 years in prison
Prosecutors say last June Brosnihan drank four pitchers of beer at a bar to celebrate his birthday.
Moments later he ran into 26 year old Ashley Rodriguez, who was walking on the side of the road near 64th and Q Street.
He then drove away as the mother of two young children lay dying in the street. Brosnihan turned himself in the next day.
He will have to serve at least 7 1/2 years before being eligible for parole.
