A California company that owns a jet that's been sitting at the airport for about 3 1/2 years intends to put the corporate aircraft back into flying order.
The previous owner of the 1981 Canadair CL-600 Challenger had the jet flown from Santa Ana, California to Lincoln in September 2009, for maintenance.
President Eric Haymes of Mojave Jet Group in Beverly Hills says the aircraft has not been abandoned.
On March 1 Lincoln Airport officials began charging Mojave Jet Group $50 a day, in keeping with a new policy for any aircraft that stays past 30 free days of parking.
Haymes says he just saw the airport bill but hasn't talked to officials.
