Omaha Police say 51 people were arrested for DUI from March 8 through March 18
Omaha Police used a grant to step up enforcement during that time period, which included St. Patrick's Day. Officers conducted eight enforcement operations.
Sergeant Anthony Gutierrez says of the 51 people who were cited for DUI, 34 were for first offense. There were 11 second offense violations and five were felonies.
Officers also stopped 124 people for speeding, issued 115 moving violation citations and handed out 18 seatbelt violation tickets.
