The crash happened at 42nd and Emile early Sunday
Omaha Police say around 3:50 Sunday morning officers responded to to a single vehicle crash.
The investigation revealed that a 2011 Ford Ranger was northbound on 42nd Street, crossed into the southbound lane and drove up onto the sidewalk where it struck at street light.
The vehicle then rolled onto its passenger side. Rescue personnel responded and the driver was declared dead at the scene. Investigators say the driver was wearing a seat belt and that speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the collision.
The name of the driver has not been released yet.
