Four Omaha Police officers have been fired for a highly publicized excessive force case at 33rd and Seward
The three officers and a command sergeant were recommended for termination by Police Chief Todd Schmaderer earlier this month after the arrest of three brothers, including one who was thrown to the ground by an officer.
The incident was captured on video by a neighbor. Omaha Police confirm two of the officers were fired on April 18 and the other two were terminated today following their Loudermill hearings. The hearing officer upheld Chief Schmaderer's recommendation.
The officers have ten days to appeal. Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine is conducting a seprate investigation to determine if the officers actions were criminal.
