Omaha Police and the SWAT team surrounded a home near 56th Street and Spaulding early Wednesday morning
Officer Michael Pecha says the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force located a wanted man near 56th and Sprague around 6:20 a.m.
Pecha says the man then went inside a house and barricaded himself inside for several hours. At around 10:30, Pecha says attempts to negoatiate with Frederick Patterson were unsuccessful.
Officers then fired two rounds of tear gas into the house. A man who was in the house came out. Eventually Patterson came out and was arrested.
Patterson was wanted for violating parole in a robbery case and a warrant from Sarpy County for Flight to Avoid Arrest. No one was injured.
