Sue Colvin is taking another position within OPS
Sue Colvin came under fire when allegations of sexual abuse were leveled against former Nathan Hale Middle School social studies teacher Shad Knutson. Knutson was convicted earlier this year of two felonies for inappropriate contact with female students.
On KFAB's Chris Baker show Wednesday afternoon, OPS Board President Marian Fey said "Sue Colvin announced to her staff today that she is needing some time away and is taking another job in OPS."
Fey says the last two years have been difficult for Colvin, who was heavily criticized for not doing enough in reporting the abuse allegations against Knutson.
It's not know what Colvin's new job will be or at what location but Fey says she will not be a principal.
