Metro area law enforcement agencies are urging residents to get rid of expired and unwanted medications
A number of drop off sites will be set up on both sides of the river on Saturday to get rid of unwanted, unused and expired medications.
The goal is to keep the medications out of the wrong hands and prevent misuse and abuse. In addition to pills, liquid medications will also be accepted. But needles and syringes will not be accepted.
Omaha Police say all you have to do is drive up, drop the medications off and drive away.
