Ground was broken today on the $2.5 million project
Dundee business owners joined City officials today in kicking off the $2.5 million renovation project.
The goal of the project is to improve safety and access for pedestrians, make the neighborhood more accommodating to visitors and help small businesses to grow.
“This is a great day for Dundee and for historic business districts throughout our City," City Councilman Pete Festersen said.
Improvements will include new sidewalks, curbs, lighting, public plazas, street resurfacing and additional parking and landscaping.
The project is expected to be wrapped up in time for the Dundee Days celebration in September.
