A seven-year-old boy is in the hospital after he was attacked by neighborhood dogs Tuesday night.
Humane Society spokesman Mark Langan told Channel 6 News the dogs broke free of an invisible fence while the boy was walking in some woods near 218th and Daylilly in Elkhorn.
"Obviously, a traumatic situation for the seven-year-old," said Langan, "He was alone in the woods being attacked by this dog. He was able to work his way back into his front yard, where his parents located him."
"He was covered in blood."
The dogs are now in the custody of the Nebraska Humane Society. Both dogs are current with their shots. Their owners are cooperating with investigators, according to Humane Society officials.
