Not an easy night for personnel at Creighton University Medical Center. Two separate assaults on health care workers landed a pair of men in jail.
Around 7:30 last night, Gary Wood, an ER professional was stabbed with a kitchen knife by a patient, Panam Chol. Then, just before midnight, another patient, Michael O'Donnell, slugged paramedic Pete Gehrman. No one was seriously injured.
Chol and O'Donnell are now guests of the Douglas County jail, awaiting felony charges.
