A Douglas County Deputy has been terminated.
A Douglas County Sheriff's deputy has been fired, and prosecutors are evaluating whether criminal charges are appropriate.
Douglas County Sheriff's Deputy Chief Marty Bilek tells 1110 KFAB 29-year-old Cory Cooper was fired because they believe he acted inappropriately
"This action stems from Deputy Cooper's pattern of inappropriate behavior occurring over the first four months of 2013, while on duty and acting in the capacity of a law enforcement officer."
Cooper has been on paid administrative leave for two months while his conduct was investigated.
Bilek says Cooper's encounters with women while on the job were the reason for the concern, but he declined to discuss details. Cooper was a five year veteran of the department and can appeal the decision.
