Five incumbents return to council, while 6 newcomers join the school board.
Last night's balloting resulted in an Omaha City Council that looks a lot like the one Jim Suttle had to work with.
Five incumbents won re-election to their posts on the council.
The two new faces are Rich Pahls, who will take over Jean Stothert's district in southwest Omaha, and Aimee Melton, a former county prosecutor.
The trend ran differently for the Omaha Public School Board. Trimmed from 12 members to nine by the Legislature, the new board will have only three incumbents. All the newcomers are hoping to set OPS on a new track, after a year of missteps.
