Councilwoman Jean Stothert got 58 percent of the vote to best incumbent Jim Suttle in Tuesday's balloting. Suttle managed 41 percent of the vote.
In his concession speech, the mayor congratulated Stothert, pledging his full cooperation during the transition. For her part, Stothert praised Suttle's hard work in the position. She'll take office June 10.
