The Sarpy County attorney has dismissed charges filed against a Bellevue police officer after his cruiser collided with two vehicles on an icy road.

Melrose was ticketed by a Sarpy County sheriff's deputy on Jan. 30 after his car collided with two vehicles.
Polikov says that because conditions were icy and Melrose was in pursuit of a suspect, he opted to dismiss the charge.
Bellevue Police Capt. Chuck Clark says police have reviewed the incident and given Melrose a memo about how he might improve his driving techniques. The memo didn't constitute disciplinary action.
