Omaha Police say the driver of a stolen lawn care truck ran a red light and slammed into three vehicles.
Four people were injured, two critically, around 10:50 a.m. when a stolen lawn care truck ran a red light at Saddle Creek and Leavenworth and slammed into three vehicles. The Jiffy Lube building was also struck, but damage was minor.
Officer James Shade says the driver tried to run from the scene, but police and Jiffy Lube employees were able to quickly apprehend him. Shade says the man had a handgun inside the vehicle.
The lawn care truck was hauling two riding mowers. Employees of the business say the truck was stolen near 34th and Arbor.
