Omaha's first female mayor was sworn into office Monday evening.
Jean Stothert is on the clock.
She was sworn in last night. Now, she'll be talking to her new staff about her vision and goals and then will spend more time with constituents.
The new mayor says she wants to set up town hall meetings and "let people know what is important to them is important to me.''
The Republican also said she intends to address the city's financial challenges without raising taxes.
Also last night, Pete Festersen was voted president of the city council, with Ben Gray serving as vice president.
