Omahans are getting rid of tree limbs and branches following Monday morning's storm
There was a steady stream of pickups, trailers and city trucks at the City of Omaha's drop off site at 11th and Locust Tuesday morning.
Resident's are being allowed to dump tree limbs and branches at no cost through Friday. There is also a drop off site at Tranquility Park near 120th and West Maple.
KFAB News caught up with John Burges, who was making the the first of four trips to the site on Tuesday. He says he is grateful his wife took their pickup to work Monday morning. The large tree that fell damaged his garage, but it would have smashed the truck had it been parked there.
The city is making the two sites available from 7 a.m.to 7 p.m. through Friday night.
