The man who owned the animals was cited for a second time
KFAB News was there as the Nebraska Humane Society removed 20 cats and kittens from a urine and feces covered home near 45th and Jaynes in north Omaha.
The smell inside was so bad that the Omaha Fire Department was called to ventilate it.
Pam Wiese with the Nebraska Humane Society says they received calls from two Craigslist customers who went to the house to see the cats that were for sale.
Armed with a search warrant, animal control officers went into the house on Wednesday and rounded up the cats. Wiese says many of them are in bad shape with skin issues and breathing problems.
The owner of the cats was cited for animal cruelty and harboring too many animals. It's the second time he has been cited for having too many animals.
