The Salvation Army is adjusting community cooling center schedules and will not be open Sunday.
Update - Due to the change in Sunday's weather forecast, three metro cooling stations will be open Saturday until 5 PM.

The Salvation Army is adjusting community cooling center schedules for people who need a break from the extreme heat. Here are the latest schedule updates:
Saturday, August 31 – Sunday, September 1 – 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Kroc Center, 2825 Y Street
North Corps, 2424 Pratt Street
Lied Renaissance Center, 3612 Cuming Street
Cold drinks will be provided to anyone seeking respite from the hot weather. Donations of bottled water are needed to support cooling center operations this summer. Cooling stations will open when temperatures reach 90 degrees or above for three consecutive days.
The Salvation Army is in great need of donations of individually packaged snacks and bottled water, or money to purchase these items.
