Stothert was none to happy when she received a text last night from Gutierrez-Mora saying she would not be attending the meeting and needed more time to examine the letter she received from Secretary of State John Gale, who is investigating her voter registration.
Stothert says the text she received indicated Gutierrez-Mora's assistant would be in touch to re-schedule the meeting for later this week. Stothert calls Mora's decision "disrespectful and unprofessional."
Stothert also says her schedule is full and will not be able to meet with her later in the week. Stothert wanted to question Gutierrez-Mora about her qualifications to serve on the board.
Gale is investigating Gutierrez-Mora's residency to determine if she is a registered voter of Douglas County, a requirement to serve on the MECA board.
