The Douglas County Sheriff's Department has identified a woman who was involved in the attempted abduction of a two year old at a park last weekend
The woman who grabbed a two year old last Saturday at Brookhaven Park near 110th and Harrison has been identified and won't face charges.
Lt. Mark Gentile says they have determined the woman is a special needs adult who was at the park visiting relatives in the neighborhood when the incident occurred.
He says the woman does not understand boundaries regarding children and strangers. The woman lives in a treatment facility in another state and has returned there.
The mother of the child chased after the woman and punched her in the face to free her child.
