The real estate developer was chosen by City Council on a 6-1 vote.
Omaha real estate developer Jay Noddle is the newest member of the MECA board.
City council voted 6-to-1 Tuesday to select Noddle from a field of four candidates.
"My interest in serving on this board," said Noddle, "is because I care so deeply about Omaha." He replaces Jamie Gutierrez Mora, who resigned last month.
The MECA board oversees operations at the Century Link Center, TD Ameritrade Park, and the Civic Auditorium.
