Since our family took on the challenge, it's been pretty easy overall. We already eat together as a family most days of the week. The scary part was handing control of food choices and portions to the kids. My fear was that if they got to choose, their choice would be "none of the above". I have been pleasantly surprised that this hasn't been the case.
This cute (if dirty) boy made me so proud last night. We had smoked chicken, and there were 3 sides he could choose from- Crunchy Pea Salad, Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese, and red potato salad. He decided to serve himself some of all 3!! Now Ryan only had the mac and cheese, but at least he got the squash in there. Baby steps. :)
