The next edition of the 1110 KFAB Gourmet Club will be Wednesday, August 22nd, 6:30 p.m., at J's Steakhouse in Fremont.  While this event sold out more quickly than we anticipated (thank you, KFAB Nation!), I urge you to make your own trip out to J's on your schedule to dine at this wonderful restaurant.  Call for reservations anytime:  402-727-6100.

In addition to the four-course meal, live cooking demonstration, and fellowship with fellow members of KFAB Nation, we've added a guest speaker for the evening:  State Senator Charlie Janssen!

For $36.99 per person (plus tax and gratuity), you will be treated to:

FIRST COURSE

Smoked heirloom tomato, basil and cream bisque with fresh lemon creama

SECOND COURSE

Shadowbrook Farm goat cheese and golden baby beets, honey walnuts, spinach salad with orange balsamic vinaigrette

THIRD COURSE

Baseball-cut filet mignon served with wild mushroom sauce duxelle farm fresh scallion, fingerling potatoes, and sautéed brown butter broccolini

FOURTH COURSE

Palmiers toffee tart a la mode, served with fresh mint

J's general manager Jay Siers will pair a luxurious Italian wine with our meal at this event, which is included in the already-discounted price.

Executive Chef Zeb Rogers will preside over our live cooking demonstration that night, going through how to properly prepare the scallions.  And State Sen. Janssen will properly welcome us to Fremont, USA by talking about some of his recent work in the Unicameral that has received national attention (the illegal immigration and voter ID bills).
