This page is getting a little messy, but since it is now permalinked on so many news sites, I guess I'll keep updating this one entry for the rest of the week.  Updates are below.  My interview with Sen. John McCain about Libya is now linked RIGHT HERE! Keep refreshing the page for details -- thanks!

****Thursday's update to this ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-ma-madness (sorry, Muse):  CLICK HERE for Sec. Gale's response to the UN Election Observer show, and then ... wait a second, he's taken down his press release that went out to all the state's election officers!  Ok, I'll reproduce it here then:

To All Nebraska Election Commissioners & County Clerks,

We have received calls to our office both yesterday and today related to Scott Voorhees program on KFAB in Omaha. In response to Tuesday’s broadcast, our office issued a press release, which I have included again below. In today’s broadcast, Mr. Voorhees said that Secretary Gale was encouraging conservative voters to go to the polls next Tuesday and democrats on Wednesday. It is unfortunate that he would use his program as an opportunity to promote incorrect information to Nebraska voters, but as I mentioned, it has resulted in additional calls to our office.

There is only one voting day in Nebraska and that is next Tuesday, November 6. This has not changed.

If you have additional questions or concerns, you can contact me directly.

Again, please assure voters that the Secretary of State’s office has not and will not change the voting days in Nebraska.

The news release is posted on our website: http://www.sos.ne.gov/. Feel free to direct people there as well.

Thank you,
Laura Strimple
Communications Director
Secretary of State’s Office
