GERMANY ELIMINATES THE LONGEST WORD FROM ITS LANGUAGE: German's longest word has been eliminated from the language. The word is 63-letters long and means "law for the delegation of monitoring beef labeling." A regional parliament in Germany repealed the word after the European Union lifted a recommendation to carry out certain tests on healthy cattle. A German linguistics experted says the word was the longest 'authentic' word in the German language, even though it was not listed in their dictionary.
