GERMANY ELIMINATES THE LONGEST WORD FROM ITS LANGUAGE: German's longest word has been eliminated from the language. The word is 63-letters long and means "law for the delegation of monitoring beef labeling." A regional parliament in Germany repealed the word after the European Union lifted a recommendation to carry out certain tests on healthy cattle. A German linguistics experted says the word was the longest 'authentic' word in the German language, even though it was not listed in their dictionary.

That's Kaitlyn, an 18-year-old student in Florida who has just been arrested for her underage relationship with a 14-year-old teammate on the cheerleading squad.

The police arrested Kaitlyn at her mother’s home in Sebastian, near Vero Beach, charging her with two counts of lewd or lascivious battery, a second-degree felony.  Prosecutors have offered her a deal that would allow her to plead no contest to a lesser charge of child abuse, and they have promised not to seek prison time. 

Her parents are opposed to this, saying she's only being prosecuted because "She's in love."  No one is arguing the relationship is not consensual, but that a 14-year-old is not old enough to provide consent to a sexual relationship.

Have a high school senior and freshman ever hooked up?  Yes.  Does the law set up sting operations to shut this down?  No.  But, if they find out about it -- it doesn't matter the genders of those involved -- they're obligated to file charges.

The punishment certainly shouldn't include jail time for something like this.  No one was attacked or anything like that.  But for gay rights groups to make a big deal about this because those involved are lesbians is shameful.  Think about what you're standing up for here:  Child abuse!  You can't have sex with 14-year-olds, people!!!
