Woman Arrested After Eating Evidence

A woman is facing charges of evidence tampering after allegedly eating evidence.

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Department say deputies responded to a domestic abuse call at the Pawnee Lake State Recreation Area around 4:30 Sunday morning.

When they arrived they found a man and a woman involved in a conflict in front of the woman's twelve year old son.

Authorities say 42 year old Christine Lanini was placed in a deputy's cruiser and while in the back seat she was able to open the partition, grab a pill bottle from the front seat that contained marijuana and ate it.

They say she then returned the bottle back to its original location.

The deputy came back to the cruiser to find the empty bottle. Video from the cruiser shows Lanini eating the weed.

Lanini has been cited for evidence tampering, child abuse and possession of marijuana.

The man involved in the incident, 35 year old Daniel Morgan, was also cited for child abuse and possession of marijuana.
