An Omaha woman is in critical condition after being hit by a car on West Dodge Friday night.
Omaha Police say around 10:00, 43 year old Lynn Poppe got out of a pickup truck on the shoulder of Dodge near 180th Street after an apparent disturbance with someone else in the vehicle.
Witnesses say Poppe looked upset and walked across the west bound lanes "leisurely," saying it appeared she was attempting to get hit.
A number of cars avoided hitting her, but she was struck by a Mercedes SUV driven by 48 year old Evan Osborn.
Poppe was transported to Nebraska Medicine by medical helicopter. She is in critical condition after suffering broken ribs and a partially severed leg.
Osborn was uninjured in the accident and was cited for DUI.
