A 60 year old Omaha man was sentenced to 40 to 50 years prison on Wednesday for a deadly traffic crash last fall.
Kevin Malone will be eligible for parole in 20-25 years. Malone left the scene of the accident and was driving under the influence when authorities say he turned in front of a motorcycle near 140th Street and West Center Road.
Justin Hart was killed when his motorcycle collided with Malone's vehicle. At the sentencing on Wednesday, Malone told the victim's family, "Words cannot express the deep sorrow for the death of Justin and the position I've put you in."
Justin's brother told the court, "The defendant has injected himself into our family for the rest of our lives and that's an inexcusable offense."
