Man Arrested In Connection To Deadly 60th & L Shooting

Omaha Police say a 24 year old man has been arrested for his part in a deadly shooting at 60th and L last week. 

Authorities say investigators arrested Michael Benson on Saturday for Accessory to a Felony. 

On Monday, September 17th officers responded to the intersection of 60th and L around 4:30 after a reported shooting. Upon arrival they found 32-year-old James Womack suffering from gunshot wounds. 

Womack was rushed to the hospital from the scene with CPR in progress and later died from his injuries. It is believed the shooting stemmed from a road rage incident after Womack exited his semi-truck, exchanged words with another driver and was then shot in the back while walking back to his truck.
