Fifty Pounds Of Marijuana Seized At Omaha Train Station

The Nebraska State Patrol made another large drug bust at an Omaha train station this week just days after making the state's largest Fentanyl bust.

Authorities say Friday morning, investigators conducting routine operations noticed two suspicious bags in the cargo area of a passenger train. They detected the smell of marijuana coming from one of the bags, and after no one claimed the bags, they opened one. Inside of the bag investigators discovered large bundles of marijuana.

The bags contained 50 pounds of marijuana, with a street value of over $100,000.

The owner of the bags was eventually identified at 40 year old Sio Chong Leong. Leong was arrested on a number of charges including Possession With Intent to Deliver, Possession of Greater than One Pound of Marijuana, and No Drug Tax Stamp.
