Ralston Mayor Recovering After Heart Attack

Ralston's Mayor Don Groesser is recovering after suffering a heart attack over the weekend.

A city spokesperson tells NewsRadio 1110 KFAB that 75 year old Groesser is back at home after being admitted to the hospital on Saturday. Groesser had chest pains Saturday morning and his doctor told him to get checked out at the emergency room. Instead of heading straight to the hospital though, Groesser made an appearance at a Veteran's Day celebration in downtown Ralston before going to the emergency room.

Mayor Groesser is expected to be out of the office for least two weeks while he recovers.
