An Omaha Police officer is recovering after being involved in a two vehicle crash Friday morning.
The crash happened around 8:00 at 72nd and Mercy Road. Police say the officer was responding to a high priority call with lights and sirens when the cruiser collided with a car in the intersection.
The driver of the car and the officer were transported to Bergan Mercy Hospital a couple of blocks away with non life-threatening injuries.
The investigation into crash continues.
