Child, Two Teens Injured In North Omaha Crash

Omaha Police say a seven year old and two teenagers were injured in a hit and run crash at Florence Blvd and Binney Street around 7:00 Friday morning.

Lt. John Sokolik tells NewsRadio 1110 KFAB the car they were riding in was southbound on Florence Blvd when it was broadsided by an eastbound Durango.

The force of the impact sent the car into the front yard of a home. Sokolik says the driver of the Durango got out and ran from the scene.

Seven year old Kennedy Davis was unrestrained in the Hyundai, and suffered a facial injury.  13 year old Justin Davis suffered a head injury and was unconscious at the scene.  But police say his injury is not considered life threatening.  14 year old Deon Davis was treated for side pain.

The driver of Hyundai, 40 year old Helena Cotton,  suffered arm and abdominal pain. She accompanied the children to the hospital and was cited for No Child Restraint.

Anyone with knowledge of this crash is urged to contact the Omaha Police Traffic Unit at 402-444-5627.
