An Omaha man is recovering after a single vehicle crash Monday afternoon near 90th and Military Ave.
Omaha Police say around 3:00 a 2017 Ford Escape was northbound in the curb lane on 90th when the vehicle left the roadway. Authorities say the SUV went down an embankment and hit a retaining wall.
The driver, 36 year old Pierre Washington, was taken to Bergan Mercy for treatment of a broken foot and ankle. Police say a one year old child was in the SUV at the time of the crash, but was not injured. A parent or guardian couldn't be located, so the child was taken to Project Harmony.
Drug use is being looked at as a factor in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
