Two Men Arrested For Transporting Drugs Through Nebraska

Two New Jersey men are behind bars in Omaha after being caught transporting drugs in Nebraska.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says just after 9:00 Thursday night, a K-9 deputy stopped Toyota 4-Runner on eastbound I-80 near 108th St. Once the deputy made contact with the driver, Justin Saldana, and passenger Brian Quiroga-Fernandez, he became suspicious.

Saldana and Quiroga-Fernandez gave conflicting stories as to the reason they were travelling, which prompted the deputy to deploy K-9 Fletch. Fletch conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle and detected the presence of illegal drugs. A search of the vehicle yielded multiple vacuum-sealed bags containing 60 pounds of marijuana.

Both men were booked on charges of Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana, Possession of More than One Pound of Marijuana and Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp.
