Authorities in Pierce County have identified the pilot killed in a Wednesday crash.
The body of 69 year old James Fritz was found in the wreckage of his small plane about five miles northwest of Pierce, Nebraska. The single-engine plane went down Wednesday night just after 6:15.
The Sheriff's Office haven't released any additional information about where Fritz took off or was where he was headed.
The National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
