Young Cancer Survivors Head For Colorado Ski Adventure

This Easter will have extra special meaning for four teen cancer survivors. Thanks to The Sunshine Kids Foundation, they are heading on ski trip to Colorado.

Sunshine Kids is a national organization that aims to improve the lives of children with cancer by providing them with fun group activities.  The four kids will leave Omaha’s Eppley Airfield Easter morning and will spend the week in Beaver Creek, Colorado before returning the following Saturday.

While they are in Colorado, the teens will take ski lessons, go ice-skating, go bowling and take part in  other fun activities.

Nebraska Medicine will be sending a nurse to accompany the kids to take care of any medical needs that might arise during the trip.
