Man Critically Injured In Truck Versus Train Crash

A Princeton, Nebraska man is in critical condition after the truck he was driving crashed into the side of a train in Lancaster County Wednesday morning.

Authorities say the crash was reported near SW 142nd Street and Highway 33 just before 7:00, but the accident is believed to have happened around 3:00.

Investigators say 28 year old Corey Loupin crashed his GMC Yukon into the side of a BNSF train. The train crew was reportedly unaware the accident had happened and continued on their way.

Loupin was pinned in the vehicle and rescue workers had to cut away the wreckage to free him. He was air-lifted by medical helicopter to a hospital for treatment. There were no other passengers in the vehicle.
