Council Bluffs Police say two people on a motorcycle were seriously injured around 10:00 Sunday morning near Big Lake Park.
They are identified as 42 year old Marc Stark and 28 year old Sonia Smith, both of Council Bluffs. The crash happened on N. 8th Street, just south of Big Lake Road.
Police say the motorcycle, driven by Stark, Stark, was southbound when he lost control and the bike crashed. Witnesses behind them told investigators the bike was traveling normally prior to the point when it went out of control on a curvy stretch of road.
Emergency crews arrived to find Stark just regaining consciousness. Smith was still unconscious but regained consciousness in the ambulance. Both were transported to Nebraska Medical Center. The investigation is continuing.
