Possible Fentanyl Found During I-80 Traffic Stop

Two men are behind bars in Hall County after a traffic stop on I-80 near Alda around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

State troopers stopped the Freightliner pulling a trailer for a license plate violation.  That is when they suspected criminal activity and sent in one of their dogs who sniffed out controlled substances inside.

The search turned up 88 pounds of an unknown white powder that could possibly be fentanyl.  It is currently being tested at the crime lab.  They also found 95 pounds of marijuana in duffel bags and 996 vape cartridges.

The driver, 24 year old Kendall Miller of Warren, Ohio and his passenger, 49 year old Lawrence Henderson of Lake City, Georgia were booked for possession of marijuana - more than one pound, possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, no drug tax stamp, and commercial motor vehicle log violations.
