Two Year Old Injured In Lancaster County Bounce House Incident

A Lincoln boy is in critical condition after suffering injuries on a bounce pad at a Lancaster County pumpkin patch Wednesday night.

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office say the call came in from JT's Pumpkin Patch, located just north of Lincoln, around 6:00. Deputies on scene said two children, the two year old boy and his five year old sister were on the bounce pad with their parents when a strong gust of wind hit. Authorities say the wind carried the bounce pad about 40 yards.

It is believed that the bounce house was properly secured at the time. A National Weather Service local storm report showed that winds were gusting up to 59 MPH near the Lincoln Airport shortly after the incident. The pumpkin patch is about 2 miles from the airport.

The boy remains in critical condition, his sister was treated and released from the hospital.
