Two Arrested In NSP Chase In Wayne County

Two people were arrested after a chase and a four-hour manhunt Friday afternoon in Wayne County.It started around 10:20 a.m., April 26th, when a trooper was sent to 579th Avenue and 847th Road south of Wayne to a report of a possible vehicle fire. Once the trooper found the vehicle, a Chevrolet Silverado, the vehicle then fled.

The trunk had been stolen.After a short chase, the vehicle drove into a field.With the help of other law enforcement agencies, the State Patrol's Air Support and the K-9 Unit were called to help in the search.

The search last four hours but two suspects were found in separate locations about a mile apart and close to where the pursuit began. 49 year old Rodney King of Centerville, South Dakota and 45 year old Connie Dominguez of Wayne were both arrested for possession of stolen property, flight to avoid arrest and possession of methamphetamine.
