Bellevue Man Pleads Guilty To 2nd Degree Murder

BELLEVUE, Nebraska - A Bellevue man faces life in prison after pleading guilty to 2nd degree murder.

In a plea agreement, Brandon Norton also pled guilty to the removal, abandonment or concealment of human skeletal remains.

Norton was charged in the death of his estranged wife, 32 year old Jennifer Norton in June of 2018.

6 News reports that Norton turned himself in to police on June 5, 2018 and told authorities he had killed his wife the night before during an argument at their home in Bellevue. After a days-long search, her body was found in the Missouri River near Plattsmouth.

Norton will find out his fate when he is sentenced on March 23rd. He faces between 20 years and life in prison.
