Chaos Causes Delay in Iowa Democratic Caucus Results

The results are still not known from the Democratic side of the Iowa presidential caucuses.

The Iowa Democratic Party said Monday night inconsistencies were found in reporting three sets of results and a new smartphone app being used for the first time to calculate and report the results crashed.

The Iowa Democratic Party says the delay in reporting caucus votes is the result of a “reporting issue” and not because of a “hack or an intrusion.”

Results are expected to be announced sometime Tuesday. Former Vice President Joe Biden's campaign sent a scathing letter to the state party, demanding a full explanation before the results are announced.
