OPS Superintendent: School Or Sports This Fall, Not Both

Omaha Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Cheryl Logan says the city's teen athletes are not going to like the news she's sharing about the fall sports picture.

During a Zoom meeting with the South Omaha Neighborhood Alliance on Thursday, Logan said They can have either school or sports, but not both.

She says seventeen people at one school were quarantined earlier this week. Logan added that the beginning of the school year was sacrificed for the sake of summertime athletics, and characterized that as a very bad move.

She will be speaking to the school board on Friday.
